Toucan: Guests know the toucan from the sign outside. We brought it inside. A polystone statue of the Van der Valk toucan on a rock base, with a detailed beak and feathers in a gold finish, placed in the rooms and meeting spaces of the Van der Valk hotels. The toucan is no longer just on the sign: it's part of the room.

A familiar silhouette
The large beak carries the recognisable shape of the Van der Valk toucan into a three-dimensional object.
Feather detail
The sculpted feathers give the gold-coloured surface texture and catch the light across the body.
Polystone
The statue is made from polystone. The gold colour is its finish, not the material of the body.
